Cruising in HollandHolland ‘Tulip Cruises’ (Amsterdam Out and Back) |
Originally built as a private yacht in 1994 to cruise on the inland waterways of Europe, the Absoluut2 was formerly known as the ‘Marjorie’. Acquired several years ago by charismatic couple John and Ienka Baker they have brought their considerable experience in the boating world to the Absoluut2 and so ensure they give guests the time of their lives. In 2009 they will continue the tradition of luxury and relaxation aboard the Absoluut2, whilst cruising a shortened season, between 21 March and 06 June 2009. All cruises will begin and end in Amsterdam and guests will be treated to the very best that Holland has to offer in the way of excursions, relaxation on board and world class food and wines. Please note the famous flower-filled Keukenhof Gardens close on the 18th May, but the Absoluut2 offers two more cruising weeks after that which still offer many wonderful treats for the enthusiatic traveller. Standards on board are very high and the Absoluut2 is a very luxurious vessel. Huge picture windows in the lounge and dining room allow natural light to flood in at all times, creating a very pleasant place for relaxation and dining. Top quality leather sofas and a large coffee table enhance the lounge area, and the dining table easily seats 8 guests in comfort. Excellent bikes are carried on board for guests’ use, and a selection of more than 300 DVDs are also to hand for that (rare!) rainy day. The two suites and two cabins (which can be either double or twin) are spacious and very well decorated to create a relaxing space where guests may wish to spend time during the day as well as sleeping at night. Each one has flat screen TV and DVD player. The sun deck is large and has a pleasant shaded area, as well as an area for sunning oneself, and the jacuzzi spa pool provides another pleasant alternative option. A totally graceful way to experience Holland in 2009. |
