‘The Southern Burgundy’ Route—Chagny to Paray-le-Monial (and reverse) on the Canal du Centre—available 12 June thru 23 July 2010. The Canal du Centre offers some of the richest and most beautiful regions of pastoral France. Chagny is in the very heart of the famous Burgundy wine region and you will moor among the vineyards themselves. Along the way you will stop to visit charming villages dating from medieval times, an ancient Roman Amphitheatre, a picturesque chateau (castle) where you’ll taste some excellent wines, an ancient Abbey, a spa town and a master chocolatier (chocolate maker)!
