    Where is it?

The Caledonian Canal is in the north of Scotland. It runs between Fort William and Inverness.

    What are the cruises like?

Full of natural beauty. The majestic cruise route allows guests to explore all that is wonderful about Scotland; heather covered mountains, abundant nature, craggy castles, real Scottish pubs, tartan, whisky and—of course—many excellent golfing opportunities. Let yourself experience the amazing tranquility that can be experienced on the numerous deep and mysterious ‘lochs’ (lakes) that you’ll encounter on this cruise. This is the ultimate escape from a noisy city lifestyle, hectic schedules and stress-filled days.

How does this canal compare with others in Europe?

The Caledonian Canal has a special atmosphere all of her own. Watched over by the majestic Scottish Highlands she has a grand and yet beautifully wild atmosphere unlike any other waterway. You’ll feel you’re in a different world.

The only other waterway even slightly comparable to the Caledonian canal is the River Shannon in Ireland, and that’s only in terms of the wonderful wildlife, nature and unpolluted, fresh air that that you’re sure to enjoy on her cruises. Really there is nowhere else like the Caledonian Canal for marvellous views and fascinating wildlife that will take your breath away. Golden eagles, stags and highland cattle are often seen from the barge.

Why would I want to cruise here?

-Because of the amazing scenery, wild flowers, birds and animals that you may see—golden eagles, stags and highland cattle. The air is very clear and fresh.

-Because you love the Scottish culture and history and wish to learn more about it.

-Because you want to learn more about the Loch Ness Monster and perhaps see her!?

-Because you’d like to taste the best of Scottish cuisine and experience the country’s cultural heritage first-hand.

-Because you’d like to visit mysterious castles, islands, traditional Scottish pubs and feel like you’ve escaped from the madness of modern life for a week!
