The Golden Odyssey was built in 1926 and carried freight throughout Europe and Scandinavia until she was
transformed into a luxury canal yacht by her owner/Captain. Each of the three double cabins is provided with
private luggage storage, a large double wardrobe with beautiful antique chestnut doors, and a writing desk.
Each cabin is fitted with a large skylight and three opening windows. The generously proportioned en suite
bathrooms are equipped with over-sized baths and shower, with bathroom fittings in the highest quality classically
English style. Each cabin has a private telephone that keeps you in contact with the outside world, your
fellow guests or the staff. The beautifully appointed salon is furnished with a pleasingly eclectic library and an
open fireplace, as well as an extensive games chest and discreetly concealed audio and video systems.
Voyaging on the waterways of Europe with private guests, the Golden Odyssey explores and enjoys the more
known as well as the forgotten or undiscovered parts of each area. The itineraries are tailored to the interests
and tastes of individual charter clients, and bring the concept of private yachting to the waterways of Europe.
The goal has been to create a sort of movable feast of European waterway exploration, and in that way clients
can return to familiar surroundings each year, but experience a variety of different tastes, sounds and sights.
Beginning in the west of Belgium, among the jewelled cities of Veurne, Bruges and Ghent, guests will have the
choice of subscribing to a full series of Golden Odyssey private charters that will traverse Europe over a fiveyear
period; or simply charter the Golden Odyssey for periods of one week at a time.
