The Anacoluthe Barge

A cruise on the M.S. Anacoluthe combines the comforts of a mini ocean liner with the charm of a river steamer.  The elegant interior provides ample space to relax, with two lounge areas and lots of old world charm. Large windows give all round views of the passing scenery.  The Piano Bar, the exercise room and outdoor spa pool give you plenty of possible places in which to relax and watch the world float by. A highlight of your cruise on the Anacoluthe is the cruise through the very heart of Paris in the evening. Following this you float on into the beautiful, rolling French countryside which is typical of this region and full of lovely surprises….A visit to Monet’s famous residence at Giverny is another of the many highlights of this cruise, together with a trip to Auvers-sur-Oise, Van Gogh’s early home. In 2008 she offers two splendid routes—the ‘Impressionniste Cruise’ (between Rouen and St Mammès) which is great for art enthusiasts, painting groups and general cruisers alike, and the Picardy cruise (between St Mammès and Compiègne) which is superb not only for general cruising but also very well suited for excellent golfing with some of the best courses being situated near the coastline, including St Nom La Brèche and Chantilly.
