    Alegria Barge
The Alegria is the latest barge to burst onto the barging scene in the south of France. Every so often there is a new barge that sends shockwaves through the barging community because it is different and challenges the status quo with new style and a ‘new look’; in 2009 that was the Alegria! And in 2010 her reputation will continue to grow...With totally unique style and grandeur, she offers a new barging experience to those discerning cruisers among you who are seeking something a little out of the ordinary...The first thing that hits you is the sheer size of the barge, then once on board you will be ‘wowed’ by the large kidney-shaped swimming pool, and you’ll adore the bright white symmetrical steps leading down to the round stylised glass, sliding entrance doors to the interior saloon.
There’s something special about this barge...almost ‘James Bond-esque’...it is without doubt very stylish and there’s a surprise around every corner. The large lounge and dining area has large windows letting plenty of light in, and together with the two private suites it is styled with an African motif thanks to Olivier (your Captain’s) many years of living and working in South Africa. You may dine inside in the air-conditioned saloon or outside on deck in the warm evening air. On retiring to your suite you will find a mini fridge stocked with various treats (Champagne at extra cost), and there are all the ingredients for a perfectly heavenly nights sleep.
Each private bathroom is discreetly distant from the bedroom area and is furbished in a very modern, light-on-the-eye fashion with round white basin, pretty mirrors, excellent shower and WC in each. You also have your private stairway between the supremely elegant sundeck and your suite—perfect for midnight bathing! If you seek adventure in the south of France—you’ve found it right here on the Alegria. (We think it would also be perfect for honeymooners or any type of romantic ‘get-away from it all’ type vacation!)
