Be ‘wow-ed’ by the huge honeymoon suite on L’Etoile II—it’s not just for honeymooners though! Anyone can enjoy the decadence and luxury of the 2 en suite bathrooms, abundance of space and open-plan Victoriana bathtub in this suite!

Anyone who goes aboard L’Etoile II will be astounded at the feeling of space that there is on board. The strongest feature of the entire barge is its huge main stateroom, complete with kingsize double bed, large ivory sheepskin rug, claw-footed bath for open-plan bathing, its superb en-suite bathroom with toilet, bidet and washbasin, AND a beautifully tiled over-sized shower room, also en suite. All this, plus masses of space to lounge about in...and that’s only your cabin! Outside your door you will find a long corridor from which you can enter the other very large double cabin that also has a king-size bed and plenty of storage space. Pretty objets d’art are everywhere on this barge and the attention to detail really shows. You’ll find flowers artistically incorporated into the wall-coverings and interesting shells, candles, laces, lamps and suchlike all tastefully arranged to make you feel utterly at home and on the barge of your dreams. |

the other end of the corridor from the honeymoon suite and the second double cabin, there is a salon and sitting area with a large coffee table and room to seat up to 11 guests, with open plan bar. L’Etoile II in the evening, should they wish to, and enjoy cocktails or a pre-dinner aperitif in L’Etoile II’s huge bar and lounge area. After all, if you have 2 barges at your disposal, why not enjoy them to the max? The colour scheme on board L’Etoile II is very cheerful and bright, with Provence-style yellows, blues and reds in the main salon/bar area, and subtler, pretty pinks and ivories in the honeymoon suite, and yellow again in the second double cabin. There are lots of portholes and skylights on L’Etoile II which ensure that she always feels light, airy and spacious, as she is. Even if the sun is not shining (this is rare!) you can be sure to enjoy your time on board with the great selection of books, videos, games and other fun that awaits you on board. The honeymoon suite has her own TV and there is also a TV and DVD player in the salon. A full shelf of classic DVDs is always at your disposal. |

Meals on
L’Etoile II can be taken
either inside or outside on the large sun deck if preferred. There
is a lovely shaded tile-topped dining table that can seat 8 easily,
and which makes the perfect viewpoint from which to see and be seen,
dining in real style! Bicycles are carried on board so exploring can also be done independently, and there are always plenty of pretty villages and country lanes to explore if you want to venture further than the tow path. Cobie and Mathias, your hosts, will always be happy to advise you on the most scenic routes to follow—and how and where to meet up again with the barge of course! In 2006 L’Etoile II will cruise in southern Burgundy and the Camargue/Provence area.
