In April 2006 The Barge Company visited the ‘Athos’ - a charming hotel-barge that takes 12 passengers on a spectacular Canal du Midi based cruise in the south of France. Cruises are between Salleles D’Aude and Marseillan or reverse, which is more or less between Narbonne and Montpellier. Operated by seasoned bargers Danielle (your Cruise Manager) and Julian (your Captain) you are always made to feel most welcome on board. Gourmet food and wine from the region is savoured in great comfort each evening, either inside the large and spacious interior saloon, or alternatively on deck at the long table set out for this purpose.
