    		 Clair de Lune Barge
    The Clair de Lune is a purpose built passenger charter barge completed in 1997 in the Netherlands. Designed and built by Berend Gozens, she is the culmination of over 20 years experience catering for a discerning international clientèle, and was created perfectly for cruising on the delectable Canal du Midi. The large picture windows in the interior saloon and cabins ensure that you are able to ‘watch the world float by’ at all times as plenty of natural light floods in from the sunny surroundings. Cabins are spacious and well appointed with classy furnishings, whilst bathrooms are beautifully tiled and generously proportioned. Gourmet meals are prepared with skill and imagination from fresh local produce by your professionally trained chef, whilst the wines are meticulously selected by the barge to represent the very best of the region and beyond. Your experienced, well educated and knowledgeable barge guide will accompany you on excursions chosen to suit your group’s interests. Cruise in decadence past poppy and corn fields, lush green maize growing higher than your head, and perfect rows of vines and olive trees. Cruises are full board with exquisite gourmet food and fine wines served at every lunch and dinnertime.

    The Clair de Lune barge is delighted to welcome families with young children on board (charters only).


    INCLUSIONS—
    Champagne welcome on board, all meals including morning coffee and afternoon tea, a fine selection of Languedoc-Roussillon wines and drinks from the open bar, guided daily excursions and entrance fees, transfers from the pick-up point to the barge and drop-off at the end of the cruise.

    EXCLUSIONS—
    Use of barge cell phone, laundry facilities, items of a personal nature, gratuities for crew, personal travel insurance and cancellation insurance.

    Optional excursions and activities may include:

    Colourful street markets, festivals, antique fairs, swimming in the Mediterranean sea, a game of golf at St Thomas at Béziers, canoeing on the River Orb. All the excursions can be tailored to meet personal requirements on charter cruises. (Where individual cabins are booked however it may not be possible to cater to all individual’s personal requirements).


    PICK-UP: At 4pm in Carcassonne, Beziers, Montpellier or other, by arrangement.
    DROP-OFF: After breakfast on the last day locally, by arrangement.

    CRUISES START ON SATURDAY AND END THE FOLLOWING FRIDAY.
