'Lorraine'

We loved the barge with its interesting and very picturesque cruising along the tree lined canal, passing by small villages. Of course the locks were very interesting, especially the lift.

The itinerary, crew, the chef, wines were all superb. We saw so much beauty in the countryside, the canals the vegetation along the way and our wonderful excursions into the beautiful towns. A crew that provided everything we needed with such grace. I cannot wait to share this with friends. With all our traveling over the past 40+ years, this was the most outstanding and enjoyable.

Neil, our Guide, was extremely knowledgeable and could not do enough for us. One morning, he took three ladies to the shrine of St Odile, the Patroness of eyes….The bicycles were great, excursions informative and if a lot of walking was required we were advised ahead of time and some passengers sat at a café waiting for the rest of the group to return, or stayed on the barge. The ride in the barge lift up the side of the mountain and through the tunnels was a ‘wow’!
