The Savoir Faire (formerly Etoile de Champagne) dates back to 1932 when she was built as a transport barge for the Belgian estuaries. In 1979, the barge was brought to Holland where she underwent a total metamorphosis and was converted into the superbly elegant threedecked canal cruiser that she is today. Carrying just 12 passengers and built on the largest hull that can cruise the waterways, the Savoir Faire offers guests the warmest of welcomes throughout the season. In the respected Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report, the barge was rated "Best European Canal Barge - The luxurious ultra-spacious Savoir Faire plying the inland waterways of Holland and France." The barge features six twin-bedded staterooms, all with private bath, which includes separate toilet and shower. In the main living area, there are several relaxing saloons for your leisure. The main lounge has a wonderfully panoramic view, very comfortable custom-made furniture, upright piano, game table, stereo and compact disc player and library area with a wide selection of reading material. Adjacent to the lounge is an elegant dining room, large enough to double as a dance floor on festive evenings. A very fine vessel for savouring Europe.
